Ms. Hausner grew up in Sperry, Oklahoma. Raised with a "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" mentality, she is a first-generation college graduate, attending the University of Oklahoma where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with Special Distinction. While at the University of Oklahoma, Ms. Hausner was a member of Kappa Tau Alpha, a national honor society that is only offered to individuals who rank in the top 10% of mass communications and journalism classes.
After completing her undergraduate education, Ms. Hausner attended the University of Tulsa College of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctorate and graduated with highest honor. She also became a national member of The Order of the Barristers, which exhibits excellence in the art of courtroom advocacy.
As a practicing attorney, Ms. Hausner has handled numerous criminal cases including DUIs, robberies, homicides, child abuse, rape, domestic assault and battery, burglary, and drug trafficking. Her trial experience is extensive, with cases comprising three first-degree murders, child sexual abuse under 12, child abuse, and first-degree robbery.
In her free time, Ms. Hausner focuses on her family. She has an English bulldog named Rumble, and enjoys Saturdays at the lake, design, and traveling.
